Technology enhanced portfolio design

Technology solutions grant considerable opportunity for us to connect learners and faculty, capture authentic, real time workplace assessments and make sense of complex data sets to help us guide learners. However, rather than a ‘gather and guide approach’, poor design around the collection and interpretation of data can lead to a ‘profile and punish’ approach which disengages learners.

This workshop will focus on the critical questions around what data is ‘useful’ to collect in a portfolio, and how learners and faculty interpret this to guide learning, support transitions and identify learners in need of extra support/at risk of future failure with a toolkit of possible remediation
